Here are a few shots of our bike ride which took us through the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, also know as MIT. In the movie Good Will Hunting, the Matt Damon character was a janitor in the MIT math building where he solved tough math problems that were left written on the blackboard. You’ve all seen it.
This is a Frank Gehry designed Strata Center at MIT. Any warped and crooked looking building that you run into is probably a Frank Gehry. He’s also very much into the silver metal sheeting. The art museum at the U of Minnesota is a close sibling to this building.

We also saw the memorial for the MIT employee who was killed by one of the Boston Marathon bombers.

This massive church-like building is Harvard’s Memorial Hall which functions as a concert venue, large lecture hall, and a freshman cafeteria. It was locked for a special event.
We discovered the east coast’s version of Panera Bread called Au Bon Pain, a great place to get coffee, salad, bagels, etc.
Sue’s driving! If you don’t recognize me, it is because I’m wearing my glasses from the beginning of this century. My frames broke right before we left for the trip. I’m picking up my new glasses this week.
