Sue and I went with Rudi to Freiburg today for a little sight seeing. The weather was hot so about a half hour after we started to walk around Sue popped into a department store to buy a lid: voila, instant vacation hat!
This is the Freiburg Muenster built slowly from 1200 to 1513. It survived the destruction of WW II and remains the centerpiece of the Altstadt. Maybe, they are continuously doing renovations inside and outside.
Here is Doctor Grunau sitting in St. Martin’s Church studying his city map to make sure that we were seeing all of the important Freiburg sites.
After lunch we met up with Johanna and Elisabeth and walked up the Schlossberg for some good views of the town.
