Photo Practice

Doug said he has a nice picture of the orange cat on his locker and would like a good picture of the black cat to match.  Unfortunately, the black cat is providing more difficult to photograph.

Meanwhile, Mr. Photogenic is just sitting around looking cute.

There were some melted cats by the fireplace last night.  It’s tough work around here!

Noted Photographer, Doug

We had an interesting email today.  It was from a professor in Sweden.  He had been a missionary in Iringa, Tanzania in the late 70s.  He is writing a book about his experience and the Lutheran Church in Tanzania.  He came across our blog (this is what happens in the world of Google….anything is possible) and liked the pictures.

He asked if he could use the photos we posted in his book as his pictures are from  his time there.  Of course I said yes right away and sent the pictures off when I got home from work this afternoon.

Sounds like a guy from Wisconsin writing to a stranger in Japan!

On a side note, a group of church is leaving for Tanzania tomorrow.  We wish we were going along and hope they have a wonderful time!

It's 12 below this morning. These two are happy to enjoy it from the couch.

Christmas was Over

I put all the Christmas stuff away this week. I left one of the decoration containers out because I always find one more thing and that "one more thing" usually spends the year on a shelf instead of put away.

Somehow the cats broke into the container overnight, hunted the soft ornaments (especially the cat shaped ones) and left them all over the house.

I'll try again to put Christmas away today.

New

The new storm door was installed yesterday. Doug tells me it took the installers 5 hours. The cats like the new view of the squirrels!

Testing One, Two, Three

We downloaded a new thing, let’s call it an APP for posting blog entries. We did this mainly because the old way, however we used to do it, no longer worked from our laptops but only from Sue’s tablet.
