Falling

003Although it’s more than 80 degrees today, the garden has come to an end.  This year’s “Wildflower Mix” didn’t turn out quite as nice as last year’s but there were some pretty flowers among the weeds.

004

No gigantic sunflowers this year but some nice blooms every now and then.

Among the wildflowers, I planted pumpkins this spring. I didn’t realize I wasn’t supposed to plant the entire package of seeds in such a small area.  The tentacles of the pumpkin plants would have been everywhere if I didn’t strategically pull them out. This single pumpkin was my entire harvest.   Maybe pumpkins aren’t meant for urban gardening…

The trees are spectacular this year.  Former exchange students: “the yellow tree” in the front is just starting to turn.
