Yeah, the pictures from Mexico continue. The title of the novel I’m reading here is Crazy Rich Asians which could describe some of the wealthy looking Asians who were staying at Live Aqua. I wore that beach shirt every single day, by the way.
The sky looked stormy a few times during the week but there were only a few rain drops here or there. Maybe it rained overnight?
Here I am sipping a frothy blue Blue Hawaiian complete with a pineapple garnish.
The backside of the hotel faced west towards the inner bay of Cancun. This was our view coming out of our room in the fifth floor. That is a mall that we did not step one foot inside of.
Here is Sue in the Aqua Club lounge on the fifth floor. We had a mini snack and a gin and tonic on our way to dinner.
Do I look relaxed?
This was the first of our two nights of chef’s dinners in which the chef made us something that was not on the menu. Raul, the manager of the Azur restaurant and bars set both of these chef’s meals up for us. Raul reminded us of a Mexican Wolfram Reitmeier, Johanna 2’s neurosurgeon father. He sort of looked like him, I guess. You’ll see a photo of him later. This is the Hidden Garden Asian restaurant. We are sitting inside the thatched roof area but there is also seating in the open air under the jungle canopy.
This was Sue’s favorite meal complete with cashew nuts, spicy Thai noodles and filet mignon.
Live Aqua is a 300 room resort. The brown thatched roof area is the Azur restaurant.
Morning walk.
