Our new furniture has arrived!
Our family room has a new couch and the exchange student room has a new mattress.
As always, we were happy we had paid for delivery when we watched the two guys quickly and easily move the new couch down the basement stairs. We were even more appreciative of their efforts when we moved the other one UP the stairs ourselves.
The crisis came when we could not find the cats after the movers had left. They had put a piece of cloth in the doorway so they didn’t bump anything coming in so the door didn’t close all the way. Then, they had to take the basement door off so there was some pounding which upset some very delicate boys.
After the movers left and the house was quiet again, the cats were nowhere to be found. We searched and searched inside before heading OUTSIDE to look for them. I finally found them in their heavily fortified bunker in “the cave” in the laundry room.
Crisis averted.
It is my last “real” day of summer vacation as I start with some work at school tomorrow. It is also the start of squirrel season in the yard so both cats are especially alert.
