Here are some obligatory cat shots. The cats spend a lot of time on the platform but not usually both at the same time.
When they both end up on platform, the biting and fighting and wrestling begins.
After church this morning we drove over to the airport to see Fahsai’s airplane land.
First we watched the Amsterdam Airbus A330 land and then Fahsai’s jet slowly floated in for a quiet landing. See it on the left just above the horizon.
This is a Boeing 777 that Delta alternates with a Boeing 747 on this route. Interesting fact: this route from Tokyo to Minneapolis is long enough so they can’t just use one plane flying back and forth. Daily a plane leaves Tokyo, flies to Minneapolis and flies back three hours later. But before it arrives back in Tokyo, a different 777 takes off bound for Minneapolis. This has been a fun fact sponsored by the B-W Blog.
After the plane landed, we drove over to the terminal to begin our wait.
It would be over two hours before Fahsai would emerge from the international arrivals door. These big planes take a long time to unload the passengers and then they tired people have to wait in line at immigration, then collect their bags and wait in line at customs. Also, the Amsterdam flight unloaded several hundred people right before Fahsai’s flight. And if you look suspicious like Sue usually does, immigration will pull you aside for “advanced interrogation techniques” practice.
Finally, here she comes! A family came out right before her and said, “Fahsai is coming! She was in line behind us!”
Sawatdii khrap (welcome (as said by a male)), Fahsai!
“Prathet Thai” is what the Thai people call Thailand. It means “land of the free”.
