Christoph had two games this week that I had to miss because of work. Fortunately Sue was there to cheer on the Falcons. Christoph scored a goal, maybe a rebound type goal on Wednesday night.
Sue said this was a nice field on Lexington near St. Paul Central High School and within shouting to be heard distance of Interstate 94, aka die Autobahn. Incidentally, GOOGLE TRANLATE doesn’t seem to care about articles. It gave me “the highway” as the translation for der, die, and das autobahn. Only one is correct but don’t ask me which one.
Sue described this photo as a “crises de chat” (a cat crisis) as the lion pride tore into their dry food overnight. They get worried when they can see the bottom of the bowl.
Sue’s flowers in the yard look better now than they have all summer. They must like the cooler and only slightly wetter weather of the fall. Tomorrow, we will put Christoph to work helping chop up and pick up sticks and branches and then haul them in Duke and Mary’s lorry to the compost place down by the river.
The leaves have just started to break out in fall colors even though the weatherman says this weekend will be the peak colors in the Twin Cities. We’ll see.
