If Ravel is a fighter then Nigel is a lover. He likes to nuzzle Sue’s hair wherever she might be sitting or standing. Fortunately, he is pretty good about keeping his nails retracted when he’s climbing on his people.
Thanh, our new neighbor took down the tree on the lot line outside of our kitchen window. Even though this window faces north, tons of light now floods our kitchen sink area.
Sue performed a weigh in for the cats yesterday. Ravel is 11 and Nigel is 10.4 pounds. They are hard to photograph because they immediately walk toward the camera when you push the on button.
Ravel is the fighter but he’s much less aggressive than he used to be.
As I feed them every morning at 5am, I haven’t been able to figure out how to get Ravel to not nip at my shins. He thinks I could be serving up the food faster.
Many chases start out as play, devolve into fighting with Nigel yelping, and then end with some licking. I spilled some cat food on Ravel’s back yesterday and wondered how long it would take Nigel to lick it off.
