We had our laptop at the Grunaus and on this laptop Sue just happened to have the entire recording of Johanna playing the lead role in Guys and Dolls. Johanna got more and more embarrassed as the scene progressed to the point of
the kiss.
Good fun!
The final dinner in Neuenburg am Rhein. Sue said she's been scouring the on-line menus of local of local German restaurants looking for Swabian Specialties, Esslingen Edibles, Freiburg Fritters, etc.
We are free and clear to make our yearly pilgrimage to Texas in October. I guess we don't always go in October but we do go every year. Let's all start remembering the Alamo right now.
Sue liked the cross hung with care behind the bar. I didn't catch the name of this restaurant or very many of the other places we ate in Germany, Switzerland, or France.
Here I am with my new favorite Freiburg mug the morning after we got home. Jetlag is definitely much easier to recover from flying west. I was able to sleep Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights OK but I did wake up often. Working the weekend helped get me back on schedule.
What's wrong with this picture? (Besides the fact that we still haven't pulled the trigger on getting that new tile floor)
Ravel has found the upper level of the kitchen. When Sue first acquired Ms. Puccini, she used to roost above the fridge but none of our other cats ever went up there.
Here we are in Basel enjoying some chocolate croissants and coffee.
Happy Birthday to my Mother - she's still younger than 70 today!
