Mr. Tail Wheel is alive and well after staying home alone (hitori is the Japanese word for "alone") for three nights with only a teen aged neighbor to come over and feed him and pet him and play with him and love him.
Does he look happy to see Sue? She's giving him the "chiny chin" scratch.
We went to Milwaukee for
Charles and Dorene's 50th Wedding Anniversary
dinner. My Bro and Sisters and I hired a photographer to take many, many photos of various combinations and subsets of the family including one of Dad and Ronnie, the Greish family Hund. Then we all gathered for dinner with the inclusion of Frank and Nancy (Tom's parents) at Casa di Giorgio in Franklin.
Here's Diane, Kevin, middle child Nate, Zach and Paige way down on the end.
Cheryl, Tom, and Bradley
Serena's arms, Sunanda, and Mike
Serena's husband Dustin was the only family member not present.
Sunanda and Mike (Sunanda's Mikey)
Another shot of Bradley, Tom and Cheryl. Last spring at Zach's graduation Tom ordered a
brandy old fashion-sweet
and we all thought it was a fluke that he ordered such a granny beverage. Well, he did it again but this time he forgot his reading glasses.
Dad had a very small pizza while Brett had a much larger pizza. We chanted "eat it, eat it" as Brett gobbled down his last piece of Za. That's grandma Nancy next to Brett.
Afterwards we all ambled over to Cheryl and Tom's like a herd of slow-moving cape buffalo for some cheese cake and Culver's ice cream. I gave a short toast to the happy couple. We're looking forward to seeing all of the photos that were taken. As a group we spontaneously and individually chose complimentary colors with most of us in darks/blacks some of us in dark blues and fewer of us in red or with red accents. It was pretty amazing. In a photo of Mike, me, Sue (blue) and Sunanda (red), Mike pointed out that we were dressed like a Pepsi can.
Yes, after the cheesecake we felt like hippos sunning ourselves in a hippo pond.
Many thanks to Mom and Dad for hosting this really fun dinner and congratulations again on showing us what 50 years of marriage looks like.
Happy Anniversary!
